Stay at La Miñoca

La Miñoca is located at the heart of the coffee region. The closest main cities are Manizales (30 min away) and Pereira 1.5 hours away.

Bogota (capital of Colombia) is 8 hours away by car, as the road winding road crosses the Colombian Andes. Recommended only to experienced drivers. By air, the flight from Bogota is only 40 minutes long.

We recommend flying to Pereira International Airport (PEI), located 1.5 hours from the farm.

The Manizales airport (MZL), located 30 minutes from the farm, is another option, although it is often temporarily closed due to weather (heavy clouds).

Uber services are available in the area. Transportation to and from local airports and in the area, is available through the farm’s pickup truck and the farm’s driver. Rates vary according to distance.

A great 10 to 14 day trip to Colombia could include a stop in Cartagena, Rosario Islands (45 min speed boat ride from Cartagena), La Miñoca and the coffee region, and a couple of days in Bogota.

Tickets

round trip tickets from the USA to Bogota range between $500 (low season) and $900 (high season: mid-December-early January, Easter, June-August, fall break week in October).

See below information for each place and links.

Colombia is currently very safe for international tourists and a definitvely a recommended stop if you travel to South America.
