La Miñoca is Gunter Pauli’s work of love. A fascinating place Inspired by the work of his friends and mentors…humanist Mario Calderon Rivera, inventor Paolo Lugari Castrillon and, EcoCycle Architect Anders Nyquist .The house is the theme of one of Gunter Pauli’s Fables: Grow A House, in which he teaches children one of the main concepts of his Blue Economy: the use of locally available resources to generate abundance, without harming the environment. In this case, Bamboo, locally considered a weed and a sign of poverty, is used as the building material for a beautiful, comfortable and sturdy house. Get the Fable here.

ZERI Colombia wanted to use various processes and sustainable technologies in the conception and construction of the house.
A myriad of Blue Economy concepts are part of the house and farm’s design, including water management, food production, health, comfortable and affordable housing, labor and education.
The magic and charm of the house can be felt everywhere……It was in this house where Gunter Pauli wrote his Blue Economy book.
